We were looking to replace our old flooring and our builder recommended that we look at All about underlay. They had exactly what we were after, payment was easy and the delivery was so prompt it even got here before the builders.
Thank you for the most efficient service we have received in a long time, we will definitely use them again, and recommend to friends and family.
The product I ordered was as I expected, and the price wasn't too bad either. Delivery however was a different story. Had a dispatch email saying it was on its way and would be here next day, it didn't arrive. After 3 days of waiting I emailed asking where it was, I got a reply saying the courtier had made a mistake and sent it to the wrong delivery hub it would be with me in 3-4 days. When I said this wasn't good enough as I needed to product now to be able to complete a job I needed to get done by the end of the following 2 days I got an apology. When I asked if they could contact the courier to see if they could make amends for their mistake and get it to me before my job completion deadline I heard nothing from them. Not a satisfactory out come. I realise this may not have been AAU's fault but more could have been done to rectify it.
Despite what the website states, door to door delivery, the driver refused to honor the undertaking. He even had to be persuaded to leave the heavy delivery on the drive and not the kerb. Issue raised with costumer services three weeks ago and they seem to be making no effort to resolve it. Other companies also provide the option of buying part rolls.
We had problem with noise from the occupant of the flat below our buy-to-let, and lost a good tenant as a result. Your advisor was very friendly and helpful, and the two-layer underlay solution she suggested was certainly not one we would have thought of ourselves. It was an expensive option, but we hope will prove cheaper than losing tentants. The temporary visitor we have there at the moment has commented on her comfort and good sleep since she arrived, so we hope the new tenant arriving soon will have no problems.
The black underlay is extremely heavy, and even though your website stated this, we weren't really prepared for just how heavy. The delivery man was a hero taking it upstairs for us, we certainly could not have managed it ourselves. We laid it ourselves, which was easy enough, but, because of the weight, exhausting.
The downside was the smell. I washed it over after laying it, which may have helped a little. The red tredaire over it improved it a lot, and after about three days with windows open and a fan on low it was not noticeable. I think it would still be there if the flat were locked up for any length of time.
I ordered and paid for next day delivery. i received an apologetic phone call every day for three days until i finally received my order 3 days late. I hope that the problems i encountered were in fact one offs. The staff that phoned me to inform me of the delay were very polite and courteous.
bad experience, but I dont think I would be put off ordering again in the future.
I really can't complain I wanted the 3mm but I end getting the 3.6mm and was cheaper then any place and I'm really happy

I ordered some expensive, noise-reducing underlay from here. My order was processed and shipped pretty quick. Unfortunately when the pieces arrived several were adhered together and one was the wrong piece. However, when I rang to sort it out, it was rectified asap, and replacement pieces were sent straight away with no delay or hassle whatsoever. My only real complaint was that the contracted delivery company didn't then take away the faulty pieces, leaving me to take them to the tip. But, overall, my experience was a good one and I would use them again.
Great price, great quality, great service! Product arrived really quickly and even carpet layer commented on the quality and price. Overall, very happy and will definitely be returning to website for future purchases.
Ordered underlay for my oak flooring and everything seemed to be ok.
When I rang to query the delivery date? I was informed that they had no stock, buy would send out some different sized rolls, I explained that I needed them by a certain date and was told that this would be achievable.
Well it wasn't!!!!
It turned up on the afternoon of the install ( my fitter had sourced some underlay).
Now the real fun begins...... Getting a refund!
I'm still waiting and this is 8 weeks? The reason given is ' we need to check for the returns paperwork.
Do yourself a favour people, don't shop at www.allaboutunderlay.co.uk, they're utterly useless
First to say I had absolutely no problems with the delivery or quality of the underlay I purchased.
However when using the website to place an order, I had repeated problems which almost made me abandon the sale.
My first account became corrupted and would not load my basket. I gave up at work and tried again at home, but had same problem. I created a new acocunt in the same browser, but the new account had the same set up details stored as my previous (entirely different!) account, and was still buggy. A third account set up in a different browser was finally succesfful and allowed me to complete my order.
I have now come to order more underlay, and cannot login to the website, as the service appears to not recognise my email, despite emailing me several times, including to fill out this review. Unless I can resolve these technical issues I will not be able to purchase from allaboutunderlay again, despite the fact I want to!
I appreciate the response to my comment, however my efforts to navigate the new website have met with failure. There are broken scripts on each page, that are preventing me from viewing or updating my address book or ordering products. I think I am going to give up now.
One of the items I ordered was out of stock, however staff were able to advise on a suitable alternative and they even paid the cost difference! Very helpful and I have no hesitation to use them again.
Very helpful and informative when I phoned with queries prior to placing my order. Once I ordered my transaction was processed quickly and smoothly, with my delivery arriving the next day.
Got quoted 252 quid in carpet shop for same underlay I bought here for 94,had it delivered in 2days and it was perfect..would definitely recommend
Order process is clear and easy to use. Product delivered within 2 days of order being placed. I would recommend this company to friends and colleagues and will defiantly use again should it be required.
The company itself provide all the products at a good price (not very beatable) and the customer services team came across friendly and very informative in regards to the advice they provided me.
After a few email queries and then over the phone, I placed my order for a few Tredaire Dreamwalk underlays and a roll of Durelay Treadmore for the staircases and landing.
The delivery came today (within 2 days of order) which is very good, but sadly 3 of the Dreamwalk rolls came damaged with rips in the first layer of the rolls and damaged edges. Whilst this underlay itself is of PU foam, I wish the goods were handled with actual care as fragile goods.
Needless to say, I had to reject the acceptance of the delivery, but managed to get onto the phone with the company and they are organising to re-send the goods. Lets hope this time the goods come with no damage and in good condition.
UPDATE - Tuffnells messed up the delivery of the re-sent goods. Once this was sorted out, got the underlay and the carpet fitters have laid it all down with the carpet and the Trediare Dreamwalk feels very comfortable and nice. The Duralay Treadmore on the stair case and landing give a secure feel, which is exactly what I wanted.

Daughter moved into a new house which had no underlay in the attic room. Order was place and arrived in time for the carpet to be layed. Great product, great price!
It also did everything that I needed it to do.

We wanted something to spread on a wooden floor of a flat to deaden the noise for people below. A product was recommended and delivered promptly, it was inexpensive, including the shipping, and does a great job.
I decided to purchase underlay rather than have it supplied by the carpet fitter and what a great choice this was. The underlay is excellent quality, doesn't leave furnidents and is soft and comfortable. I am absolutely delighted with it and would definitely use it again and recommend it to my friends. One word would describe it easily: BRILLIANT.
The lady I spoke to on the phone was lovely, chatty and helpful. I did ask for the delivery to be delayed for a few days to make sure someone was here when the underlay arrived, however it turned up at 9.30am on friday instead of the following monday as we had agreed. It's just lucky that I was still at home to recieve it. Also the wrapping is a little torn in places but we've not opened it yet so don't know if the underlay is affected or not.
Ordered late one evening confimed followed via email then next day. Initial confirmation email quoted that they would send email once dispatched which I did not receive, however courier did phone tw following day to deliver. Very good service as most couriers take at least three days to deliver to the north east of Scotland.

Very pleased with myself for searching the internet and finding All About Underlay. Have added them to my favorite links. Will definitely buy again from them. Ordered it online at 11:55 and then phoned them asking the very pleasant lady to see if she can include my goods on the day's delivery. The items arrived before noon the following day. All went very smoothly. I do not usually leave reviews but this one deserves a good 5* one.

Prices are very competitive and worked out much cheaper than a well known carpet shop that I tried.
Delivery was very quick although I didn't receive a despatch e-mail as stated on the website as part of the order process.

Would be useful for the delivery company to send a message before coming so customer knows and can make sure it can be delivered.
I am still awaiting my products following completion of my order on 2nd January, and since my call earlier this week I have received no further confirmation as to what time or when the goods will actually be delivered. This is the second time I have had to cancel my floor fitters due to late delivery of the goods following placing an order. On the first occasion, as well as the delivery not coming as scheduled, items were missing from the package. Whilst the prices and products are good, I will not be using your company again nor indeed recommending you to friends or colleagues in the building industry.

Whilst I appreciate and understand your comments regarding the product being out of stock my main issue is that the only way I had any idea that this was the case was by contacting you. If you offer to deliver a product by a certain date, next day delivery as in the case of my first order, and it is not available you should contact the consumer. Maybe I was naive to believe the delivery periods and arrange my fitters around them but if something is guaranteed next day delivery then you would expect problems with that order to be notified as soon as humanly possible.
I was informed that attempts had been made to contact me, and yet I had not a single missed call nor errant email in my spam box from your company. So I can only assume that this was a falsehood and no attempts had been made.
The offer of the superior product, whilst generous, was somewhat unpractical as I had already installed the ordered product from my initial order. To install a second type of underlay, with differing properties, in the same project seems, to me, somewhat fruitless. And, whilst this may be my memory, I can only remember this upgrade being offered once.
I have no issues with the products delivered, nor the people on the end of the phone. My concerns and ire come from the lack of communication with regard to the status of my order, something which I hope you will address in the future.
Whenever I have spoken to anyone the service has been polite and courteous, for which I offer my appreciation as this is not usually the case when dealing with complaints. I would also like to thank you for refunding the delivery charges.
The web site had the products I needed at the right price. Delivery was very efficient.
I only wish CarpetLeft would deliver the actual carpet with anything like the same efficiency...
