ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SITE - DO NOT ORDER

I ordered from this website back in October-- and was very clear that I wanted to receive a dress before my bday and paid extra shipping and handling fees (needless to say-- of COURSE it didn't come in time). I was really upset to begin with.... and THEN the dress (once I decided to finally wear it to a different event) started falling apart within moments of putting it on. HORRIBLE QUALITY!!!

Since then, I've been trying to get a refund for this incident and I've made it very clear to them that my credit card # has changed since the order... I've spoken with numerous customer service reps via email and they all tell me something different-- that they already issued the refund (to a card that doesn't exist), that they sent a check with the refund, and that they will be sure to send one out shortly. Confusing, frustrating, time consuming and absolutely ridiculous... HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Well, now it's April... 6 months after the fact -- and I still have yet to receive any compensation for their mistake. I thought the customer is always right-- but definitely not in this case. I'm DISSATISFIED, DISGUSTED, and would like to advise everyone to AVOID THIS ONLINE STORE.

Only one bad experience in 8 buys

Most times dorothyperins.com has been a great shop for me with good sale, nice clothes, cheep basics and a lot to get interested in. Things arrive after a week or so in Denmark and looks fine.
Only once I had a bad experience, when I received a dress without the belt that was supposed to be included. I emailed them asking for them to send the belt, but was told, they couldn't - I had to return the dress for them to send me a new one WITH the belt! Since it's quite expensive to return the things from Denmark and I saw that the dress was already out of stock online, I chose to get my money back for the dress instead of waiting for a new one with a belt, even though I still had to pay the return myself. No refunds possible!

I don't understand all these bad reviews - I've never had problems with this site before! Maybe the quality of the products aren't the best, but you get what you pay for. I also love, that this site do offer 25% discounts or similar very often.

Will Not Order From Them Again

I find it ridiculous that I bought I dress for $100 and when I needed to return (because it was not as cute as it was online) I had to pay $25 for it to be shipped back. When looking online they lead me to believe that shipping returns would be covered but doing more research online I found I had to pay for it. Pretty unreasonable to spend that much on a dress and then to add insult to injury I had to pay to send it back. No thanks! Most other companies pay for free return shipping.

BEWARE.

I am from the U.S. and I ordered from this company because I found cute potential bridesmaid dresses and they were on sale. terrible mistake.They sent me completely wrong sizes. I contacted them and asked them to exchange the dresses because they messed up my order. They told me no they can't exchange by mail and I would have to return the items and re-order or bring it to the store. HELLO I told them I'm from the U.S and I can't take it to the store and when I checked they're NO LONGER IN STOCK.This could've all been avoided if they got my order right in the first place. So frustrated with this company. I think they could care less about customer satisfaction. NEVER AGAIN.

Don't order if you are from Canada.

I recently bought from Dorothy Perkins being that they had such a big sale. In the end I paid through the nose for the shipping and handling and taxes. They don't use a shipping company that handles their own cross border so you pay for the agent. An extra $20 for that. What mayor department store doesn't use either a large shipping company or HELLO! How about the regular mail service?? Duh! They don't ask how you would like it shipped and say it's only 7ish pounds but it ended up costed me just over $200. When I complained to their customer services they were very snotty and gave me the song and dance. Their customer service was horrible. I order from everywhere in the world as a have a clothing store and this was the worst customer service I have seen yet!

I ordered from this site for my wife on 29th June, the items were dispatched on the 31st June and arrived here soon after with no problems. Yes, the items received were not fantastic quality but they were not bad and what we expected for the money spent. Delivery was free and I have recommended that friends use this site. I do hope though, after reading other reviews that Dorothy Perkins don´t let my friends down.

Good quality. Didn't have any problems with shipping or anything else

I was so scare to order from this website after I red all these reviews, but desided to try because the dress was absolutely gorges and non of US sites have anything like this.
Everything went just smoothly, non of the issues that people are talking in previous reviews.
I guess just try to order something small, and I it goes fine keep shopping.
In coming back to this site again.

Disgraceful

I would advise absolutely no one to use this site.I order a purse mid November, and it only got to me yesterday (13th December). when I opened the packaging the purse was in a state, it looks like it's after been used, full of scratches, I have picture evidence, and the material is so cheap, I thought because it's the Kardashian kollection it might be a bit decent. I have been trying since yesterday to get in contact with someone about this via email and phone and no reply or answer. I am disgusted as its a Christmas present, and trusted the site. I will never buy anything off this site again or even go into a Dorothy Perkins store again, customer service is not one of their expertise. I hope this helps you make up your mind about shopping here, spend your money ona site that appreciates your business and has the decency to deal with customer care issues.

Do not use this company

I would advise you not to order from this company. I have now been waiting for a week over the nominated delivery day and have still not received my order. In addition to this I have called the customer help line every day since Monday (it is now Saturday), on occasion twice a day. The call durations have been anything from 30 MINUTES to 2 HOURS long. Compensation has been given for these calls. Each person of the customer care team I have spoken to has assured me the order would be delivered THAT DAY. The order is yet to arrive. I have now spent a total of 20 HOURS out of work hours waiting for the order to arrive at my work address, again no compensation has been offered for this. I have been told on numerous occasions and on one occasion by THE MANAGER that I would receive a call back with information on my order after discussion with the courier, I have yet to receive these calls. I was informed today that an investigation was being started by the team leader and I would receive a call before 10pm. It is now 10.15pm and I am yet to hear anything back. There is no direct contact with the courier company and each time I have called they have told me that they have spoken to the courier’s manager and the order is of the HIGHEST PRIORITY and will be delivered ASAP and definitely before 7pm that day – again no one has checked this and no order has been delivered. Each member of the customer care team has been “sympathetic” and “understands” my concern, yet NOTHING has been done about it. Each day I am phoning and have ran up a bill of around £50. This is a £250 order that they seem to think is in the back of a van somewhere and they have no idea where it is, have no contact with the courier directly, REFUSE to send out a duplicate order and will only refund the money after an investigation has taken place.

Took my money and have not a single article of clothing to show for it

Ordered a few jumpers a month ago. Money was taken out 2 days later when I received a shipping confirmation. The shipping confirmations stated I would receive my items "no later than" a specific date and the tracking number they gave me never worked. After my clothing was a couple of days late I emailed. Got a generic response so I did the next step that they told me to. I was told resubmit my info again. They couldn't help. 3 times I did this. Got nothing. So, I called customer service. They said that because my order is untraceable, there is nothing I can do but hope it comes! So, now I'm out a hundred bucks and 3 jumpers!

First and last time ordering from Dorothy Perkins

Reasonable priced items, satisfactory shipping charges and quick shipping are a few positive things I could say about this company.

Unfortunately, I can't say the same for trying to obtain a refund for a mistake on their part. The company sent me a wrong dress size and advised to send it back using their free return label. US postal returned the package to me because I owed International shipping charges(apprx. $10). When the company received the package, they refunded me for the dress but not the shipping. I emailed 3 times asking them to refund the shipping since it was an error on their part. When they ignored the request, I threatened to contact Paypal's dispute resolution center. They refunded the shipping the next day.

Wrong dress sent

Omg the worst mistake I ever made is to purchase something on Dorothy perkins. Worst mistake in the world. The dress came and it was the wrong dress. I sent it back and they refused to refund the money for the shipping charges; after sending me the wrong dress. I am so pissed. I paid hefty custom and duties on that stupid dress that I didn't even order!
Who does that? They don't even respond to emails or call you back. They should be shut down. I am so pissed!

Something Smells Fishy

I ordered a dress from Dorothy Perkins (US) and thought that the clothes were beautiful and at a really great price, too good to be true? Yes- a nice dress can NEVER be that cheap without some strings behind it.

The company processed a return without explanation (first hint something was off), so I contacted them through their website, because they don't have a telephone number to call. So I posted on their facebook page, which they've now disabled people to post on their wall, probably due to the fact that I was 1 of 20 complaints within 2 hours! (the second hint something was awry).

Someone did email me, even though I specifically requested to be contacted by phone, to explain the parcel was damaged and my reimbursement was being processed. But i'm only being reimbursed for the item not the shipping cost. The item was never delivered to me, so it is still unclear why I'm not being fully refunded.- This is the kicker for me. who returned the package and declared it was damaged? The package NEVER was delivered to me, so DP should be more than willing to reimburse me for the item, shipping, and offer something else other than their excuse of an apology.

So this is really smelling like a scheme is taking place. I've contacted DP again using their website, because god forbid their reps leave you with any information on how to contact them where you can get an actual or immediate response.

I will never order from them again, nor will i recommend them to anyone. To place the burden of fixing what they've done wrong on a customer is highly unacceptable and frankly, disgusts me.

I have no idea why the Kardashians would decide to pair up with a brand with this poor of customer service.

Great clothes, which are reasonable priced and most times you can get a real bargain. I love how up-to-date their fashion lines are and they great clothes they offer on a weekly basis.

I will continue shopping online but wish that they would have a reward scheme and reward regular shoppers.

HORRIBLE-STEALING FROM CUSTOMERS

Extremely disappointing! I have never been so incredibly disappointed by ordering online from a company. I ordered $150 worth of clothing a month ago and have yet to receive it! DP claims to have 7-11 day shipping...but I am sitting here 30 days later and still nothing. I have been on the phone with DP for over 2 hrs and have called 4 times ... yet still no package! I have been told my package is "at a local depot, and my address is un-deliverable" yet no one can let me know where the local depot is so I can go pick up my package and I find it amazing that my address is "un-deliverable" because UPS, Fed EX and USPS have no trouble. JUST PLAIN IRRITATING .... FIRST AND LAST PURCHASE I WILL EVER MAKE WITH DP

I CHECKED OUT THEIR FACEBOOK PAGE-SEEMS I AM ONE OF HUNDREDS THAT GOT RIPPED OFF BY THIS COMPANY!

Later on Dorothy Perkins deleted my comment from their facebook page and blocked me from their wall... and started deleting other complaints as well! UNREAL! I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS!

Easy international ordering

I placed my first order with DP after a seeing some of their items on a fashion website. I placed my first order and received free shipping and 15% off of EACH dress I ordered. I received all my items in the specified time. Each of the dresses were good quality and fit very well. My only surprise was the $70 custom fees I had to pay to get the dresses into the United States. Not a big deal, because I was given such great promotional pricing. I am looking forward to my next order and cannot wait to show off my new dresses!

Watch for SHIPPING COSTS!!!

Placed an order 3 days back, had a coupon for free shipping, ordered 215$ worth of merchandise, got an email today saying i owe 60.60$ for package to be dispatched for import charges. There was NO word about this while i ordered my stuff.

WTF thats almost 30% extra!!!! I HAD TO PAY!!!

wish i would have read these reviews earlier, guess i cant expect Customer service to answer me. or to cancel it. F@@@! if i would have known that ..... i would have bought some expensive brand here in the us instead of paying for ridiculous shipping costs.
Cant say nothing about the items, they wont get here until i decide to pay.

PS, how can it go up to 60.60$, i know germany only charges what their regular tax is, which would be 19%. not the 30% the US wants. PLUS it is clothing merchandise which isnt taxed in PA! Someone able to explain this for me please? wish there was a law against them charging 0$ for shipping but then coming up with 60 :(

The most shocking service I have ever had!!!

Order online frequently with dp, sent a return 16/1 via royal mail! No refund do waited 28 days as it states contacted them and was asked for proof of purchase, duly sent this via email twice and no response so I called and was told refund should be through in next 7 workings days! Still no refund , have called twice again to the 10p a minute line waiting on avg 12 mins and asked for manager to be told no one available and they would call me!!! So u guessed it no call and still no refund!! Do not use dp online!!!!!

Brilliant store with Brilliant staff

Good customer service, always have reasonably priced clothes and good discount offers especially for students.

Although the range sometimes doesn't help a larger person on top and clothing can get too baggy making me look frumpy. However I have always bought shift dresses that I find very flattering and online help is also very useful

International shipping was ok

I ordered several items from their uk online store, everything was fine - I could track my order, the parcel was, well, 6 h too late but that wasn't a problem for me. I had international shipping to Estonia. The goods seem to be in good quality and sizes are correct. One of the dresses I ordered was out stock by the time they sent my order out and they automatically canceld it and didn't take money for it.
Only thing I didn't like was the fact that I had some questions about international shipping but noone answered my e-mails.

Worst Customer Service

Bought a lot of stuff from DP. Pick the fastest shipping and after 2 weeks my parcel has not been received. Email customer service 6 times and have not receive an answer from them. After 3 weeks of frustration i finally received an email that they are going to refund my shipping cost and they notify me on the email that it takes 48-72 hours to receive. It's been 8 days and have not received my refund and my package. They let me know that my parcel came back to their warehouse. I shopped international and never had this problem. Won't never ever do business from them. Watch out!!!

Super god oplevelse

Jeg var i syv sind om jeg skulle bestille tøj fra DP, især fordi jeg havde læst alle disse dårlige anmeldelser. Men de har simpelthen så meget lækkert, at jeg tog chancen. Jeg bestilte tøjet d. 15/3 og fik svar at jeg senest ville have pakken d. 22/3. Så jeg ventede i spænding. Desværre var jeg ikke hjemme da pakken kom - MEN den kom d. 22/3.
Til det skal lige siges, at pga. anmeldelserne herinde, valgte jeg den dyreste af leveringer, altså på 12 pund. Men taget i betragtning af de dårlige oplevelser andre har haft, synes jeg de eksta 7 pund er givet godt ud.
Jeg har endnu ikke prøvet tøjet, men det ligner at alt passer i størrelsen og kvaliteten er LÆKKER!
Så det er ikke sidste gang jeg bestiller her - og jeg håber at næste oplevelse bliver ligeså positiv.

Terrible Customer Service

I wanted to return a green coat I bought (Item #82000238) because it was crafted poorly, the belt was too long without enough holes, the paint on the buttons looks like a 5 year old who can't color within the lines did it, there was black paint on the metal belt buckle that chipped, there were loose threads, it didn't repel water, and the pockets were so small you couldn't even put your hand in a fist. I sent an email to try to request a return and my order history didn't show up. Then it logged me out about 10 times. Then, I emailed them about that-twice. I didn't hear anything back and posted on their facebook wall-I finally got a reply and was told it would be taken care of w/in 24 hours. 24 hours later-no change. So I left more comments a few days later on their facebook but this time they blocked user comments on their wall. So I left a message as many times as I could on pictures. And I did the same thing to their twitter page. Think I heard back? Nope. Me and another girl left a bad review of the coat in question on the product reviews and I noticed that deleted those too. Now you don't even have an option to leave a review. This is a sucky company and I HIGHLY suggest you (a) tell EVERYONE you know not to deal with them {{word of mouth can make or break a company}} and (b) never purchase anything from them

Jeg købte et par sko hos dorothyperkins.com d.4.2.2012. og fik en email om at varen var afsendt d.7.2.2012. Dorothyperkins lover levering til Danmark indenfor 6 dage, men jeg har stadig ikke modtaget skoene 4.03.2012. Jeg har kontaktet firmaet 2 gange via email, for at få en forklaring, men har intet hørt, og jeg har nu afskrevet at få skoene. Pengene er trukket på min konto, så jeg vil kalde det rent tyveri.

Billigt tøj i super kvalitet!

Købte 2 kjoler og en taske på udsalg. Kjolerne er nogle af de pæneste jeg længe har købt. Materialerne er super lækre og kjolerne sidder så flot og er absolut alle pengene værd. Gav 35£ for 3 ting med porto og havde min pakke en lille uge efter jeg havde bestilt. Jeg er meget tilfreds med Dorothy Perkins.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!

In the shipping email I recieved shortly after my payment, it stated that my parcel would arrive no later than 10 days.
It's been 1 month now, 5 emails from me seeking answers as to where my order is or me getting my 100GBP back....no reply from customer service (other than an auto generated reply, not answering my querie)
I would NOT recommend any other to use their online shopping!!! You might end up like me, a 100 pounds poorer and no parcel!!!

Every item sent was wrong size

I ordered 4 size 6 items, and was shipped a size 10 for every item!!!! Plus it took 11 days to arrive, and I have to pay for shipping both ways for NOTHING! SO PISSED OFF! Will never shop with this site again.

Lidt blandet..

1. gang jeg bestilte kom varerne uden problemer. Min 2. ordre udeblev og skrev til kundeservice 2 gange uden svar. Da jeg henvendte mig på facebook kom der skub i tingene og jeg fik mine penge igen. Den 3. ordre kommer og begge kjoler er der fejl på. Den ene er skulderen gået op på og den anden har et defekt elastikbælte.. Min 4. ordre kom uden problemer og var fejlfri.. Så lidt blandede erfaringer må jeg indrømme. Synes dog tøjet er flot og billigt så vil handle der igen..

Bought some clothes in early Dec and have not received the parcel after 1.5 months. Sent 2 emails to customer service and no replies after 4 weeks. Will never shop on this dodgy website ever again and have told lots of my friends not to use this website!!!
