Before I mention anything I think people should read the terms and conditions on protectyourbubble.com before writing a bad review about them. It is actually very straight forwarded and I can see they have spent a lot of time making it as clear as possible. After reading you will know exactly where you stand with excesses and when you can make a claim and how to go about doing so.
That being said I think protectyourbubble.com make it quick and easy to start a policy. If you want to insure maybe one or two items then I found them to be the cheapest company (with a reasonable excess). However, their customer service does leave something to be desired…I prefer to email rather than call and it usually takes several attempts and a week or two before I get a reply. This is something that I think could be improved upon.
I have never had to make a claim so I cannot comment on how quickly they can sort out a replacement for you or how good the communication is throughout the whole process, so at this moment you would have to read others' reviews. I would say my overall experience of this company is mediocre and I am on the fence to whether or not I will insure additional gadgets with them or find someone else entirely.
After searching the internet to protect my iPhone and my partners Sony Experia I gathered all relevant information and compared the top few.
Protect your bubble offered the best protection for all our needs with a small extra fee for loss.
There were a couple of options for payment and with a ferw details and a couple of clicks I now have complete piece of mind.
I hopefully will never have to claim but if I did I feel assured that the process will be just as reassuring.
have several items insured with you, was amazed when my daughters well loved blackberry that was basically submerged in ribena in her school bag most of the day came back repaired and went on to last till the end of her contract. i would recommend and already have this company, including my daughter who has got her i phone with you. all in all i am really pleased with this service . thank you :)
So i made 2 separate claims with 2 different phones and had 2 totally different experiences.
The first one was with my Nokia Lumia 928. At the time, it was a fairly new phone on the market. I made a huge mistake by jumping into a pool with the phone in my pocket and you can guess how that worked out. I called them up and was told that the claim would be reviewed, it would take 1-2 biz days and yada yada. I even send my receipt to them via the website. A few days go by and I don't hear anything. I call back and they tell me that it's still under review and it should only be a couple of days more. A few more days and still nothing. I call again and get more run around. They tell me I need to fax my receipt to them, which I had done on the website a week earlier, but for some reason, that doesn't work now so it has to be faxed. Who has a fax nowadays? Thank god for faxzero.com. Anyway this goes on and on for almost a month. Each time I call I get a different person, have to explain my story over and over again. Twice they told me they were ready to ship my Nokia 920 (I had a 928). In the end, they never sent me a phone, but instead cut me a check for $500 (retail cost of the phone), and I had to buy it myself.
My 2nd time using the insurance was for my wife's Samsung Galaxy S3, which had a cracked screen. I call, fax the receipt to them, and 2 days later have a replacement. So that was pretty awesome. I guess it all depends on how popular your phone is.
If the experience with my phone wasn't so bad I would've rated them higher but they couldn't get their s**t together for me.

I have found this insurance company easy to deal with. I havent been harassed by there customer service teams so far so good. They helped me with all my enquiries i had and remained respectful during the process. Better than other insurance companies by far
New customer so difficult to review at this stage, however, I like the fact that the insurance is cheap. Hopefully there won't be any other problems other than a bit of poor customer service.
I purchased a Nexus 4 16GB phone then purchased a policy with PYB. When i cracked my screen I called their claims department. I spoke with one of their representatives who initially could not find my claim information. He told me the review would take 1-2 business days to complete (this was a Thursday) and I would receive an email, then a further 1-2 business days to deliver.
NO EMAIL came. I called up the company again and once again they could not find my policy information or information from my account. I asked about receiving an email or status update of how the review process was progressing and was told that there was absolutely no communication between departments and that they were unable to send emails. I asked to speak to a manager, this person told me the same, with plenty of unhelpful apologies.
After two days and no correspondence from this company I called again and once again they could not find my policy information. I asked for a status to which the response was that they had no communication with other departments. I spoke to a supervisor who told me the same, I then asked to speak to a manager and was told that they could only arrange a call back which could take anywhere between 1-3 business days.
I finally received my replacement phone the following Wednesday.
Completely unacceptable service.
I have 2 insurance policy's setup with this so called brilliant insurance company called protect your bubble hahaha, I lost my phone and had it covered for lost sent them all the right particulares, The guy I spoke with was really nice he told me once I had sent all the right paper work to them, I just need to call back and pay £75, so here goes I had the funds available calls up gets a Irish woman I said hi I'm calling up to pay my excess of £75 to get my new phone, she told me I had the £75 to pay plus I had to pay off the 2 premuims off for the full year lol, what a utter rip off I've now been left without a phone I've cancelled my second policy I took with them till I can find the other funds, then I will never deal with this company again BEWARE

Absolutely terrible company to deal with. They absolutely do not protect your gadgets, I was told that my phone would be covered from the date I took it out until next year, however I had to put a claim in after my first week of having the cover. Turns out you can't do that and now my phone is useless and I'm paying for insurance which doesn't even cover my phone. Absolute joke.

i think that you have a very quick simple service which allows customers to quickly insure or even just get quotes on there gadgets . everything is explained in crystal clear detail which is also very reassuring for the customer . thanks for the good service
I wanted mobile phone insurance and I didn't know that protect your bubble did this. I had used them before for travel insurance, so. Was happy to trust them with my phone insurance. All the info was there with easy to follow steps to quickly get cover. I didn't have to wast hours searching. I highly recommend them.
the moment I received the confirmation I realised I'd forgotten to include cover for loss, so telephoned to add this. By chance it emerged that as the cover was for an iphone paid for by me, but used by my son who has just moved to a bedsit(ie not living at this address) I would not be covered anyway, and the only way around this would be for him to arrange to get the mobile phone contract put in his name. (The reason I am paying for it is because my son can't afford to, so this seemed a very over complicated arrangement). It is in the small print , but I hadn't realised it before because you have to read it VERY carefully, and from THEIR perspective.The male operator I spoke to simply could not understand my frustration at this, and also said he COULDNT cancel the policy entirely, because as I had only just purchased (20 mins before) it wasn't on the system yet. Fortunately when I phoned 2 days later, I spoke to a much more human lady, who understood my frustration entirely, and tried to help as best she could, which is why the get 3 stars instead of the 0 I would have otherwise awarded.Its a shame because their site is simple and easy to use. They just need to make T and Cs a bit clearer for the thousands of parents who must be in a similar position.
I have recently taken out a policy to cover my new phone. My network provider was asking for £12.99 a month but protect your bubble quoted £5.99-no brainer! A 2 minute job to fill in my details and the job was done. Fantastci
It litterally took 5 minutes to get the quote. It probably took an extra 10to thoroughly check the terms but they are very fair! Very happy with the deal I get. Hopefully the service I receive will be on par with deal if I do have to use the service
I recently bought phone insurance for my iphone 4s and it cost me less than £7 a month! And that even includes coverage if I loose my phone.
The process was quick and easy to follow didn't take more than a few minutes either.
I will definitely be using again in the future!

Just sitting there one evening and my daughter asked if her iPhone was insured. No was my response. My other half piped up then about his - was his insured. No was my response again. Well I think they should be, especially mine says my 14 year old daughter. True I reply and picked up the iPad. Protect my Bubble states my other half. Ok and away I go. A few clicks later and hey presto! All insured as from immediately. Couldn't be easier. iPad put away, on with Coronation Street. What a joy. I'm on a PC all day. I object to being on one all night. Fortunately, on this occasion, I didn't need to be. Thanks Protect my Bubble :-)
It was really quick and easy to set up the policy. I wish more companies were this straightforward to deal with. Hassle free. I know these are all 'stock phrases' used in reviews but there's no clearer way to say it. You know how sometimes you want to do something really simple online and it turns into a life-wasting, spirit-sapping nightmare? Well this was the total opposite of that. Highly recommended!
Im was happy with how quick and easy it was to set up mobile insurance, ive been seacrhing around and decided to join protect your bubble as it was clear and easy and i have reccomended my friends.
i had some difficulty getting insurance on my Ipad. with one insurance company. I had problems because I live at home (my own, mortgaged) and it would not accept that I was a student (!!!?) after a phone call to the company it was still not possible to sort. My own home insurance would not cover for loss or mechanical breakdown. I found the online form for bubble very easy to fill and I was fully insured for my ipad (mechanical breakdown, loss, etc) within minutes.
I wanted mobile phone insurance, I got it in less than 3 minutes, online, with minimum fuss. By far the easiest insurance experience in the past 5 years. I wish everything in life was so clear and straightforward. Thank you.
