good company and excellent customer service
good company and some excellent bargains and has to have one of THE best customer service sections out there today, very helpful and sort out problems in seconds, a good many companies out there could take lessons from the Book People's customer service team

very disappointed
Ordered books 2 days ago for a kids party tomorrow. I paid the extra money for next day devlivery. They have not nor will arrive in time. They are happy to refund the money but I am now left having to try and find an opportunity to get the books elsewhere and paying out a lot of extra money. If I had known they would not arrive in time i.e. been infomed at the ordering point of a difficulty I could have gone elsewhere - now it is pretty much too late. Do I now have to cancel santa?
Should have used Amazon!

Would have 5 stars if they did not use YODEL!
Ordered some great books at great prices online. Easy to navigate and order, quite happy but forgot to look at who their delivery company was. Horrified to discover that it was YODEL. Oh no, but the package was to be delivered to my work address so I thought that it would be okay. The box looked like it had received a good kick around, squashed, torn and completely knackered. At least it had arrived this time. Have contacted The Book People and will send photos of the box. Will not be ordering online until they change courier. Ordered via my childs school when they can be bothered to share the list and have been extremely happy with price and quality so will need to find some other way of shopping with them.
Changed to 5 stars today after The Book Peoples great customer service. Listened to my complaint and resent damaged book. Happy to use again.

A few bargains if you get the right things
I haven't used these guys since I switched jobs about 2 years ago, but I used to get a few bits from them here and there - especially when I'd forgot to buy presents for Brithday's that were around the corner. The books are a bit of a jumble, but there are often some good one's and the prices are often pretty good too.

Fantastic
Not used the site but use the 'book man' who comes around places of work. Fantastic range of books at great prices. Usually end up buying everyone a book for Christmas...who doesnt love books?

Fantastic customer service
I have dealt with The Book People for years, impressed by their range of titles, low prices and efficient dispatch. It is only in the last few days, however, that I have come to appreciate the quality of their customer service. They sent me a parcel through the YODEL delivery company (If you don't know of them, just take a look at their feedback on this site) which was two weeks in transit then delivered to someone in Edinburgh - while I continued to wait for it in Leicester! The Book People staff have pursued YODEL about the original parcel, but have also sent replacement copies via Parcel Force, with a request that I give the duplicates to a charity of my choice if YODEL ever do come up with the goods. Their pleasant, informative e-mails and prompt attention have set them apart from some of the other companies I deal with and have made me feel like a valued customer.

Top Books At Top Prices
We have used The Book People on three occasions (Nov. 2010, Apr. 2011 and Sep. 2011) and on each occasion we received well packaged books at exceptional prices. Their collections (esp. children) are excellent value and their dispatch time on each occasion has been impressive. When you order you can collect Book Points and eventually these will tally up so you can get free books. Overall, an excellent place to get your books from!

Excellent Service and Prices
Having 6 kids, finding places with great prices is a requirement!! Thebookpeople have a huge list of books for all age groups at amazing prices. You can normally get a 10% discount code via myvouchercodes.com or they email you one if you join their mailing list...which makes for even more huge savings.
Books always arrive in excellent packaging within a week....for free if you spend £25.
So yes.....I do give this site 5 stars and would give more if I could lol.
