I received what I ordered in timely fashion and it was well package. When I didn't know what I needed, I called customer care, described it, and they were able to direct me to what I needed. Highly recommend this company.

good delivery

Ordered several electrical sockets from these people. Unfortunatley these were not in stock. I was informed approximatley 5 days later these were being dispatched which i received the next day. Still awaiting 1 item which I was informed of. I have no problems with delivery as I was not waiting for these items. The person who telephoned me was polite and as he promised these items were delivered next day. Would use again.

Ordered on a FRIDAY and recieved UPS delivery on the following FRIDAY ,so not the quickest delivery but 2-5 day delivery est I can't really complain.Otherwise very happy with goods and price and would gladly use again and recommend.

Brilliant supplier with great service all round even the returns are credited swifty and without any fuss.

The packaging mistake shouldn't have happened in the first place.

(see earlier review). The operator when I phoned the other day was very helpful and said I would have the correct sockets the next day. True to his word these have arrived in time for fitting. Still the low mark as this sort of error should not have occurred.

was let down by delivery date.

I made an order which was urgent and it did not arrive. When I enquired about this i was told the delivery option I requested was for 'overweight' not 'overnight' as intended...it was for a small package, so I don't understand why overweight would even be an option?! Operative on phone was helpful, its more a point of why the option was available online.

Hi Sam,
I am sorry that you feel we have let you down on this occasion. I understand that items you ordered were not stock items so 'Next Day Delivery' option was not available. However there was an 'Overweight' delivery option that at quick glance could be seen as overnight delivery. I understand that this should not be an option to choose from when the order is not overweight and we currently have our website engineer on getting this removed. Although there was a confusion with this delivery, the goods were sent out to you on a 'Next Day' courier to you as soon as they came into stock and you were refunded back to a standard '2-5 delivery' charge.

Converter plate with downlighter

I had some old down lighters in the kitchen with a 150 diameter cut out in the plasterboard ceiling. I'd searched for an sized converter plate to cover the cut outs but most were for 120-140 diameter. When I did find some they were being sold as a complete unit and twice as expensive as the ones on this site. Here you can buy the converter plate separately and then choose the down lighter of your choice to fit and it worked out cheaper.

The delivery was good and with out any problems so I would recommend UK Electrical Supplies to anyone.

Bought for our home in Grenada

I have another product which heats the water for the kitchen sink. It works well but I have to reset it afyer each power outage which is about three times per month. It would be worth considering a modification which would allow automatic reset after power down.
The new heater is destined to heat the water for our washing machine.

Hi Lee,
I'm sorry that we didn't reply to you as soon as you would have liked. Unfortunately we received the email over the easter weekend and the office wan un-manned during this period. However I would like to inform you that we have now sent out the correct item as requested and this should be with you soon if not already.
In regards to subtracting the VAT from your order, we can only do this at point of sale on the telephone. However when we have had customers order from the Channel Islands in the past they have been able to claim it back at their local VAT office.

Very poor service and delivery

Your delivery system is very poor, ordered the items on the 19/03, and on 26/03 still waiting for them to arrive, despite asking for delivery before 22/03.
This aspect needs to be urgently reviewed and improved, won't order anything from you again, other companies deliver next day or within 2 days and provide a much better service.

Hello,

Sorry to hear that you feel let down by our service. Your order was placed out of office hours on 19/03 so was processed on 20/03. As no next day delivery was selected and this item is not a stock item we ordered the product from Aurora on a stock delivery which arrived with us on 22/03. It was then packaged and shipped out the same day. Unfortunately this time we have been let down by Royal Mail. We will contact Aurora today to get the product shipped direct to you for tomorrow (28/03).

In regards to being promised a delivery date, we cannot guarantee delivery on a specific day unless next day delivery is selected. Please note that our next day delivery option is available for urgent orders at the price of £7.50+vat.
