Purchased ceramic sink and bath screen. Sink fine, bath screen damaged.
Damage noted to delivery driver who would not take the screen back. Phoned Victorian Plumbing straight away, then had to photograph the damage and email. Replacement screen finally arrived - all ok.
However, the damaged screen was never collected and I was told that I could dispose of it along with the pallet it had been delivered on at my expense! Not impressed.
Usual story, all ok until there is a problem.
Would think twice before ordering anything again.
We were looking for a high quality product and thought we found it here.
It looked good, substantial and fitted exactly what we wanted.
When it arrived, only a couple of days later we could not have been happier. It is now installed and we have the bathroom we were looking for
hi, glad bought the sink & taps look great in position and samrten up the kitchen, just as well I checked the template before cutting the work top as the tempplate is too big for the supplied sink and might have caught out a novice DIYer. Overall product was great
Ordered taps. It said delivery in 3-5 days,by day 7 we still hadn't been sent an email to say it had been despatched. After a couple of emails they were delivered. I'd suggest paying by paypal and holding the payment for 14 days as I dread to think how long it would take to actually get a refund if your item doesn't turn up. Items were nice once we received them.
I was overall happy with the quality of the toilet & basin set. However, I feel that by including the toilet & basin fixings & basin waste would give an even better touch.
I don’t believe it
I should point out firstly that the staff were vey polite. Granted, the second customer service person was doing a bad job of hiding her “I couldn’t care less” tone, but she remained polite.
I originally ordered a shower door and the Milan Square Triple Shower Valve with Diverter, Fixed Head, 6 Body Jets & Slider only to be told a few days later that the shower was out of stock and would take 2 – 7 days to be delivered. At this point my order was split and my shower door sent on ahead. Ok, not a problem. The shower door was delivered directly from the manufacturer within a few days, no issue with that.
A few days later, I was phoned and told that the shower was discontinued and asked what I wanted to do. I said I would discuss it with my partner and see what she wanted to do.
I checked their website and discovered that the 4 body jet concealed shower had jumped up in price to what I paid for the 6 body jet concealed shower. The 4 body jet shower was in stock. They also sold the body jets individually for £31.76 each.
On phoning Victorian Plumbing, I was informed, according to the customer service person, the manufacturer had discontinued the shower as the mixer did not have enough pressure to operate 6 body jets. I was offered the 4 body jet model for the SAME price, can you believe it? I couldn’t. I was then offered a 5 % discount. I asked why they could not just give me 2 extra body jets to complete the original order – I was told that it came as a pack so they couldn’t do that.
Well, stupidly, I took the 4 body jet “pack” with a 5% discount. A few days later the shower arm for the fixed shower head arrived by royal mail, nothing else, just the shower arm. I called and I asked to speak to a manager straight away. When I asked where the rest of the shower was, I discovered that it was not sold as a pack but that the order was assembled. I explained about the original 6 body jet order and was informed that I should have been offered the 2 extra body jets at no extra cost to make up my original order. But he refused to do that now, but he did apologise, repeatedly.
So the next day the shower arrived with only one body jet. Was someone having a laugh? I just couldn’t believe it. A total waste of my time. If this is their level of service trying to get an order sorted, what’s it going to be like if you actually have a problem? I phoned up, asked to speak with the manager and requested that they collect the whole order and issue a full refund. The manager was again, very apologetic and conceded that this should never have happened. He did agree to collect at their cost and refund in full, which is the sole redeeming fact in this sorry episode.
It doesn’t end there. A few days passed with no call to arrange a collection as agreed. An email to chase this resulted in a collection that day.
If you have to phone Victorian Plumbing, you will most likely end up with a major headache after listening to their automated answer service. On average, I waited for about 20 minutes before I got to talk with customer services. Typically I joined the queue at position 8 or 9. Twice I was disconnected as I was about to speak to customer services.
I’m quite sure that the vast majority of orders placed with Victorian Plumbing are absolutely fine. But beware, if things go wrong, it could turn into an irritating experience very quickly.
For £10 more, I ended up ordering a 6 body jet shower by the same manufacturer – Ultra Finishing (Hudson Reed / Ultra / Premier) off eBay, look for the 100% feedback sellers. All stainless or brass this time, no chrome plated plastic! It arrived the next day, all of it, all in one parcel! I even got text messages telling me what time it was going to arrive!
I ordered the shower door from Tesco Direct, and got some Tesco points into the bargain. It was delivered within 2 days.
Good website good value and service. Like many DIY instructions may be clear to some but they need to get 10 novices in a room and see if they can follow them... then re-write so the non diyers can follow
I have bought many products from them, always excellent quality, very competitive prices and very good range of products. Delivery has always been less time than stated and goods always as described. Thoroughly recommend Victorian Plumbing.

We had a couple of issue with the knedlintong toilet we purchased as we thought the refilling pipe was missing but it turned out you don't need it in the UK! Customer services were very helpful though. Also you need to make a bracket on the floor to actually attach the toile but we managed easily with wood. Otherwise we are very please with it and it looks great. Soft close works a dream. Not a negative review, we would of found it helpful to be able to find this online!!! Overall very pleased!!

Product came very quickly, and as an added bonus it came while we were at work and it was left at the flat anyway so we didn't need to go to the post office depo.

Excellent value for money for this contemporary cloakroom sink - looks great and the waterfall mixer looks far more expensive than it was. Used VP 3 times now and will always use as first port of call. Fast delivery and the best packaging I have seen from any company to avoid breakage potential. No overinflated delivery cost to price-point products either. Highly recommend - I will be back
it came,not a lot else to be said apart from the fact when I tried to call their customer service before I placed the order I got fed up with waiting for my call to be answered and after nearly 10 mintues I put the phone down. I have used this company previously though a long time ago and no problems then either.
Efficient service. Notified me when out of stock, and when that would be replenished. Only problem was they forgot to send my order out when they had stock, I had to phone up some time after to chase it up. They did however put in on a next day delivery.
I needed a chrome waste outlet for our shower, not the 'all in one ' jobby in the diy store...as the waste and trap were already installed...and it had to be chrome plated metal, not plastic, and Victorian Plumbing had exactly the right item. It was simple to order and delivery was very prompt

we are very pleased with the look of the product and its quality. The only downside was that is did not have adjustable legs so the plumbers had to pack it to level.

Excellent service. After a price comparison, VP came out on top inc p&p. Communication from VP and the delivery courier was excellent. Overall very pleased with VP and the products we purchased and delivery was much quicker than expected.

Recently placed my first order with this company, they offer excellent value compared to similar items in well known DIY outlets, and excellent delivery service. We were very pleased with all the items - Toilet, tiles, heated towel rail and basin tap - as described and on time, and good value at slightly less than £300.
However, one niggle, the tap was supplied with a 'free' pop up slotted waste unit which was a terrific bargain, unless, like me you required an unslotted waste unit, at which point they refused to exchange even though I offered to pay postage. You may feel this is a minor complaint as it was 'free' but it seemed surprising in view of their otherwise friendly and helpful attitude.
