One star off due to the constant lack of consistency in pricing between online and store - which can be pretty big difference. Online ordering fine though, and staff always helpful in our main Portsmouth and Gunwharf stores.
Customer service is always good, website regularly updated, not too mad with the e-mails, food delicious, generous on the offers and online booking never problematic. I love the Port Solent Zizzi. Great stuff.
I love the newsletters and regularly forward them out. Great sound advice.
Used several times for internal business flights, and they're just great, never had any problems at all. Small amount of shopping - but it is a little airport.
They deliver on time consistently, the drivers are friendly, the goods fresh and they will take back carrier bags which can be excessive on online shops. Touch wood - nothing missing from any order so far. They aren't the cheapest per se - but can you count Asda and Tesco as 'cheap' if you have to keep throwing out out of date fruit and vegetables? Also every order had a missing item with Asda and Tesco - oh, but thanks for the free item every other delivery Asda - random, but kind ;-) Very happy with Sainsburys.
and they've never let me down. Cheap and cheerful and fulfil what they promise to do.
We've had a couple of good deals - and we've also had our fingers burnt a bit - including a recent disasterous stay at the Malvern Conveyorbelt (I mean spa.) I've used for restaurants and hotels and my advise is the same for both.
Fitted out my kitchen and bathroom using Screwfix only, myself and my husband 'amateurs' pulling in professionals for the important bits. Screwfix were fantastic, delivery great, friendly customer service - even sending a courier to swap out a replacement order (delivery and return) next day which was my fault for getting wrong! I love them.
Ordered a bike online a little while ago, had it put together by the Havant store. Haven't ridden for years, told the guy and he took me around everything, helmets, lights etc without a big sales pitch, very relaxed and light hearted. I love them there - whenever I need anything I drive straight past my local store back to Havant for more of the same small store service from a big company, they're great :-)
As title - so both flights I had the pillar from the seat in front of me between my legs - so no chance to sleep and no tv for me. 40th Birthday treat that had cost my partner a fortune - disappointed for him really. Not worth the extra cost for a few bits in a bag you could have got from Boots.
Totally let down both by advice from Customer Services on the phone and the reps at the airport. Told to drive in dangerous weather to arrive at the airport (3 accidents and one van sideways in the fast lane, down to one lane we could drive in in snowstorm - we were told we had to drive or we'd lose our holiday without checking in - it was frightening.)
Checked in at airport, no-one knew anything, some people giving out vouchers like smarties, some refusing to give anything out at all. The pressure got to the staff and they were rude. Finally boarded plane and rushed on like naughty children - after 48 hours of being messed about. Obnoxious cabin crew who we had the 'pleasure' of putting up with drunk and loud next to the pool for most of what was left of our 'relaxing' holiday. A letter to Thomas Cook later - they weren't in the slightest bit interested. Neither are we - we won't use them or any of their partner companies again.
Would we ever get out on team lunches without this site? Probably not. Very easy to use, not a ridiculous amount of junk in return. We like.
Or, use the BBC - which is never correct. Travelled huge amounts last year, Met Office helped me snow dodge on many occasion. Thank you!
Several months and 57lbs lost later - and I still love it. If you need a weight loss method that doesn't involve anything more than common sense and the ability to write down what you eat and exercise, this is it. No catches - it's free!
An old favourite of mine that I rarely use now. Staff in my Fareham store sullen and full of attitude - I use Portsmouth and Havant. Online, only the smallest and largest sizes in stock. Delivery to store works well for me, my local courier is a lovely lady, but it's easier to pick up from store BUT two attempts at collecting a travelbag ended up with - nothing arriving at all despite e-mails repeatedly asking me to collect from Havant - then a reorder where I ended up with three pink rattan baskets?? Evening wear for the last two ranges has been suitable for dark skins only, and no suits available for my husband as he is training for Law not working in a mobile phone shop. All in all, will probably close my account soon, haven't found a 'treat' to order for months.
I have issues, I love reviewing places good and bad. Never book anywhere without checking TripAdvisor first (take some reviews with a pinch of salt, but that's people for you).
Great site, never a problem with bookings - but the quality varies hugely from one to another. I never book without checking TripAdvisor and therefore have only gone wrong once - Bath Central - hideous.
Great products, nice staff, great mag. Only one thing for me, my local branch is Southsea which is hideous at the weekend and I avoid it like the plague. Please make it bigger and therefore a more pleasant experience, myself and my colleagues won't go there at the weekend.
I'm on a three month trial at the moment (through Groupon) unsure whether to continue at the moment. We love having the DVD's through the door just sitting around until we feel like watching them, but you add your requested DVD's onto a list with priorities. Even though we have a large list, we've received three in a row low priority discs - all of which were for exercise DVD's that would have included resistance bands, but LoveFilm haven't sent them. Pointless. So last week they'd have had five stars, this week 4 - I'll see how I feel come March as to whether I continue. Also, the three months for £9.97 I had to fight for. This is for new users only, but the offer wasn't marked as such. I understand that this is an issue between Groupon and LoveFilm, but I had the fight at the end of it.
I love ring and reserve, and use it all the time and never experienced a problem. Let down several times on home delivery (poor delivery times) so don't use this anymore.
Great customer service and I love their website. Our financial circumstances changed recently however and we had to let the TV go and keep the broadband and phone - but I have a charge for no TV! Otherwise, great. Virgin - this is how it's done.
Used about twice a year for years, never experienced any problems at all.
Attempted to switch to Virgin earlier this year, by recommend a friend. Called through, explained I wanted to do this, gave friends details including account number. All fine. Contract came through, no reference to friends account credit. Called several times (call centre in Kualar Lumpar) and cut off several times, hold times up to 45 minutes each. Kept being told a different story - including friend must refer me so she did also. Then got a sales call from the UK, salesman downright rude when I told him what had been happening and that I had a date scheduled for installation and providing my friend got her bonus I would sign the paperwork and go ahead - I think because he realised as he hadn't generated the contract so wouldn't get commission. More phone calls followed by an official complaint saw my friend get a service credit as an apology, I was ignored (although they told my friend they would be in touch with me) so returned their contract ripped in half and I'm still with Sky. I am down a full £9.97 in phone calls to Virgin Media - yes - they charge you for calls to their sales teams.

I always select instore delivery due to the mission it is to collect things from our sorting office in the city. However, two recent experiences from collecting items from North Harbour Tesco's have been pretty fraught. I queued for several minutes to collect from the counter and after much sifting through sheets and sheets of paper I was told to go to Customer Services. More queuing and was told to go back as it was an electrical item. Furious then and told them I would queue no longer and they would have to sort it out between themselves, which they did. Next experience the same. Will avoid North Harbour for collections in future.
I ordered an item online to the Fareham store, and went to collect it on a Bank Holiday Monday. The store was understaffed, but not busy. I rang the bell twice on the counter, and after five minutes went to find a staff member. She was clearly irritated and being taken away from the changing rooms with no-one in it, and came over tutting and stomping. She tried to refuse me my item as I didn't have the paperwork, just the item number on my smartphone - but I showed her that it doesn't mention anywhere on the e-mail it had to be printed out - she had a copy of the e-mail order on my phone, she had my id including picture id - and she could take my phone with her to find my order. This was met with more disgust, tutting and stomping and she went out the back - it took her around one minute to find my order. She then threw it on the desk - a bra in a clear bag - without an offer of a bag. When I asked her for one there apparently wasn't one under the counter she was on - without looking. Disgraceful, and a coincidence surely that my Mother in Law had just decided to no longer use the food hall weekly as the staff are so rude there.
Basically did what they said they would. I bought an item instore, liked it and bought two more on separate occasions on the site. Very happy, no problems.
As the title - I had to stop using them for this very reason, as did a colleague. Fruit and vegetables frequently going out of date on the date of delivery, on occasion out of date by a day already. Not worth the fight with them, voted with my feet and use Sainsburys instead. Frequently late without calling also, even though I had the first delivery slot of the day.
Title says it all. Always been happy, use at least once a month. I love Amazon!
Ability to leave negative feedback as a buyer which can be totally unwarranted but hard to overturn, and yet the lack of ability to do much at all about buyers buying your goods and refusing to pay leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Generally, more trouble than it's worth.
Find them consistently good and read the weekly e-mails they send out - there's generally something of use. However, recommended to switch gas and electricity and freeze in, both myself and my colleague did this - using uswitch and didn't receive the promised crate of wine for using them despite chasing - and the prices then went down!!
Order took two weeks to arrive. Although marked to leave behind porch door the parcel was taken to the sorting office to be signed for (wouldn't have ordered if I'd known.) Parcel tracking doesn't work on website if Royal Mail selected. I've experienced far better from Amazon.
