Was looking for all-in-one printer on website but no stock availible at sale price to collect instore. I had £200 pc world voucher but website wouldn't allow me to use it. When stock became availabe I went to shop but they had whacked the price up £80 more than other retailers!
Was in thier shop for over 40mins looking then had to hunt out sales assistant to ask for help. They would not honour price match as they said other store had to get printer from warehouse to be available in store the next day!
Walked out empty handed and frustrated!
Used to shop with Play.com regularly but they've now introduced postal charges options (free postage takes longer now).
Prices seem to have increased and no longer beat other online retailers (often more expensive).
They only have occasional good deals now...Such a shame!
Some stuff like their chocolate is better & cheaper than most brands.
Impossible to do a full shop due to limited range but great for stocking up on certain items. Have to be careful as prices are not always cheaper and they constantly reduce pack size/design whilst keeping the same price (or adding 10p here and there).
Had some good & some bad experiences.
No problems with delivery - drivers always pleasant and helpful.
Problems with wrong size items being picked, smaller packs than oedered but charged for larger. no free phone customer services so have had to hunt for their online customer service - did finally get some money refunded but they didn't apologize, just tried to make excuses!
Have to be very careful checking prices on their website as i've found lots of advertised "special offers" which work out more expensive than buying another size of same product, also they tend to change the way price is shown on different sizes of same product ie. Per kg, Per 100g, Per pack etc
Been with O2 for a quite a few years now (mobile phone & broadband). Have had really good experience with broadband support when needed but recently have found their prices increasing making them the most expensive of the popular providers rather than the value provider they used to be.
Bought TVs from them as at the time was cheapest place even with the expensive delivery charge added. After I went through checkout I noticed they had auto added vip membership charge. Tried removing and contacted customer services but never got refunded.
Would never purchase anything else other than larger highly discounted TV's as the delivery charges make most stuff more expensive than elsewhere!
Have used eBay for years and have got some good bargains.
Recently I've found many sellers charging more for items to cover the incresed fees and often going directly to sellers website is cheaper,or find things much cheaper elsewhere. Don't sell much these days as A hearty 15% is lost with eBay+ PayPal combined fees.
Very disappointed with lack of topping. Bought 2 for price of 1 offer but was like they just split the ingredients of one! At over £15 for a pizza it's ridiculous. In future I'll be saving £14 by sticking a supermarket pizza in the oven for 12mins!!!!!!
Good for some products but found some items were cheaper in high street shops after buying at what claimed to be hugely discounted prices! I only use this site occasionally after checking prices thoroughly and only if items meet the £40 min spend for free delivery otherwise it's pointless!
