I only posted 2 pieces of gold, not great deal I'll agree. I had weighed them as 6g. When I got the phone call I was offered a mere £11. Strange when you consider the price of gold per gram! Eventually I had to settle as the woman, who was claiming to talk to a 'supervisor' quadrupled the offer, still way below market value but by now I'd been kept on the phone for so long I caved. I shouldn't have. The real value was nearer 8 times the amount I was first offered. Only use if you have some knowledge of the market & patience, would not recommend, AT ALL.
John Lewis/Waitrose are the standard by which all other companies should measure themselves. To say standard does not imply mediocrity it means the very best a company can do for customers. Over the years I've lived near a John Lewis or Waitrose store I've always made that my first choice when looking for something. Now I live miles away from both but thankfully the online experience is just as good as going into a store. Staff are brilliant and when I've made a mistake about buying something, it's been sorted without any fuss whatsoever. Very glad to have them available to me still.
If you know the journey you have to take involves more than one train company, split the ticket buying and go on each of the train companies websites & buy direct. You'll normally get a cheaper deal than buying once though Thetrainline, not only that you more often than not get the tickets either delivered free or home printing. I've saved small fortunes when travelling from West Yorkshire to Hampshire by buying direct from the train companies involved.
We may be lucky in that we have a brilliant driver in this area but never had any problems with either receiving or seining packages via Citylink. Would recommend.
Every time someone has tried to send me a package via myhermes it has never been delivered when it's supposed to have been. Also when a package should have been collected, no collection. As a courier company you would expect that it would at least try and do the ONLY thing it has to do. They don't contact you to tell you they aren't delivering and the people who send are unable to contact them realtime to find out what's going on. If you want to receive a package on a set day, do what I do, tell the company you have to cancel the order if they use myhermes.
This company showed nothing but contempt & lied, lied, lied throughout, After a month a cheque supposedly printed 26th, actually printed 28th, supposedly posted 26th, probably posted 29th finally arrived. A courier that was allegedly booked for the original pick up never arrived, the replacement collected but apparently took over a week to deliver, not Parcel Forces standard practice. I then received so many conflicting emails about what was or was not happening I knew this company was not on the level. They simply should not be trusted. Use ANYONE else. I did an order with WEBUYDVD's at exactly the same time, they paid within days. MusicMagpie took a month.
