I bought a Washing Machine online from Currys last Wednesday and, even though they claim on the web site "Free Next Day Delivery" they could only offer a delivery date the following Monday.
Monday arrived and I got a call from the Delivery Driver at 10.30am saying they would deliver the washing machine "within the next hour" - EXCELLENT service so far you would think.
Nothing happened in the next hour or the 2 hours after that and I finally got another phone call from the same guy at 2pm saying the washing machine wouldn't be delivered at all.
I called "Customer Service" (5p per minute to sit & wait to music) and got passed from one person to another before being told the washing machine was now out of stock and couldn't be delivered until the following Saturday at the earliest.
A plethora of excuses with the odd "sorry" injected but NO action offered to deliver the goods earlier - even though the washing machine was in stock in three of the local Curry's stores.
I tried to escalate the issue to a manager but they offered no solution either.
In the end I wasted almost 1 hour on their "premium rate" phone line and decided just to cancel the order and go to Tesco Direct instead - much better service.
Curry's are not worth using if they can't offer customer service!
